PPR in talks to buy Puma stake: report

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — French luxury-goods retail group PPR SA is in advanced talks with the family that is the largest shareholder in German sportswear maker Puma AG to buy its stake and then make an offer for the rest of the German sportswear maker in a deal would value Puma at more than 5.4 billion euros ($7.22 billion), according to a media report Friday.
