Carrington Labs receives ‘going concern’ audit opinion

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Carrington Laboratories Inc. said Friday it has received a ”going concern” audit opinion for its financial statements dated as of Dec. 31, 2006, and filed as part of its annual report on Form 10-K with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The going concern audit opinion was given because the company has reported significant losses from operations and requires additional financing to fund future operations, Carrington Labs said. The Irving, Texas-based biopharmaceutical company also said it engaged Dawson James Securities Inc. on Feb. 22 to develop and implement a strategy to ensure continued funding.
