Air Arabia will list its shares on the Dubai Financial Market on 17 July 2007. The budget carrier will publish its first quarter results and opening balance sheet on 7 July in accordance with market regulations. An initial public offering in March raised $697m.

Bank of England seen lifting rates a quarter point on Thursday

British Airways June traffic, load factor slip

LONDON (MarketWatch) — British Airways Plc on Thursday said traffic measured in revenue passenger kilometer slipped 1.4% in June. Load factor, a measure of passengers to available seats, fell to 80.5% from 81.9% a year ago. Cargo traffic fell 1.5%. Officials mull relaxing terrorist threat level in U.K.

LONDON (MarketWatch) — Security experts are considering relaxing the official estimate of the terrorist threat to the U.K. to ‘’severe” from ”critical,” the BBC reported on its Web site on Wednesday. The move is being mulled as six suspects are being questioned in London and one remains in hospital. The lack of further arrests suggests the first round of the investigation, which consists of rounding up suspects to prevent further attacks, is drawing to a close.
