Tokyo comes off highs, Shanghai extends losses

HONG KONG (MarketWatch) — Asian markets were unsettled Friday, with Japanese stocks coming off their early highs as financials such as Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group and exporters such as Honda Motor Co. turned volatile, while Australian stocks were lifted by resource stocks such as BHP Billiton on high crude-oil and metal prices.
