NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — Bank of New York Mellon named Thomas P. ”Todd” Gibbons chief financial officer, succeeding Vice Chairman and Finance Chief Bruce Van Saun, who is leaving the company to pursue new leadership opportunities. The firm said Gibbons previously served as chief risk officer and will be succeeded by Brian G. Rogan, who currently serves as chief executive of issuer, treasury & broker-dealer services. Karen B. Peetz, chief executive of Global Corporate Trust, will succeed Rogan; Her successor will be named at a later date.
