TEL AVIV (MarketWatch) — Research In Motion, the Waterloo, Ontario, producer of the BlackBerry communications system, on Monday introduced the BlackBerry Bold smartphone. The phone, which goes on sale this summer, includes integrated global-positioning-system and Wi-Fi functionality and is compatible with tri-band Hsdpa high-speed networks worldwide, Research in Motion said. Other features: 128 megabytes of flash memory, 1 gigabyte of storage memory, and a microSD/SDHC memory-card slot. And it’s outfitted with the BlackBerry productivity applications, including phone, email, messaging, organizer and browser, RIMM said. And the phone has a 2-megapixel camera resolution with video-recording capability, built-in flash and 5x digital zoom.
