SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) - Yahoo Inc. CEO Jerry Yang and Chairman Roy Bostock told shareholders Wednesday that Microsoft Corp. wanted a 10-year exclusive arrangement that would have made the company dependent on the software giant for its search business. Yang and Bostock also said Microsoft offered to buy Yahoo’s search business for $1 billion and a share of future search advertising revenue.
